The cabbage rolls is a balanced meal, rich in vitamins B and a good source of folic acid. The cabbage itself is rich in fiber and vitamin C.


For the preparation you will need:

  • 1 big cabbage
  • ½ cup of rice
  • 500 gr of minced meat (beef and pork)
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • Salt -pepper
  • Dry spearmint
  • Extra virgin olive oil


Steam the whole cabbage, separating the leaves and cutting the hard stems. Mix the minced meat, the rice, the onion, the mint, the salt and pepper and the olive oil. Put one tablespoon of the mixture in each cabbage leaf so that the mixture is wrapped up well. Then, place them in the pot. Pour boiling water and a half cup of olive oil until covered. Cover the pot and let them boil for about 30 minutes. Open the pot and serve the cabbage rolls with egg-lemon sauce.
